Chinese news agency Xinhua had reported the great discovery of a Buddha Statue dated as far back as 600 years to the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). The statue was found in a reservoir during renovation work on a gate when water levels dropped.
Experts believe that the ‘find’ represents a potential archaeological treasure trove. Records have indicated that the renovation was taking place on an ancient town.
